Join us for Community Surveying in Tuart Hill - 15 Nov

Conversations are the one thing that builds a big base of active support for a frack free Kimberley. We know there is latent support in the community but we need to make that visible.

The Cook Government is about to decide on Black Mountain Energy's Kimberley frack project - so we need to make the community sentiment unmissable particularly across key electorates.

A very effective way to do that is by surveying door-to-door, as we know from Lock the Gate’s successful work nationally with the Gasfield Free process in regional areas, and our recent powerful state election campaign in Freo and Perth.

In the Balcatta electorate and other key areas we are surveying local community members on their views on what they think their local MP should do about fracking the Kimberley and asking to put up a yellow triangle sign to show their support. We will be handing over the survey results to the MP's office in early December.

So on Saturday 15 November at 10am in Tuart Hill we are meeting to survey the local constituents about our local Member of Parliament (and Minister for Mines and Petroleum!), David Michael, and his position on banning fracking in the Kimberley.

No experience is necessary - if you're new, we can/will pair you up with an experienced door knocker.

We'll start with a quick briefing and go through the materials, survey for around an hour, then debrief afterwards over a coffee!

Let's reach as many people as we can!  Please RSVP for planning purposes and feel free to share with others.
