Over the past few weeks, together with partner groups, we’ve collected thousands of submissions calling on the Environmental Protection Authority to reject Black Mountain’s Valhalla fracking project.
The EPA is not letting us submit via email so we’ve printed our big stack of submissions to hand over on Monday at midday in Joondalup, and inviting the media!
Can you join us for this Snap Action together with Environs Kimberley TODAY, Monday at midday?
Black Mountain's 'Valhalla' fracking project would seriously affect water, land and climate, and be a first step towards opening up the Kimberley to large-scale fracking.
Join us as we make a splash, as now it's time to make it clear to the WA Government that we want fracking banned in the Kimberley altogether, like it is in South West WA and around Perth. With a state election in March, now is the time to make it clear we want a ban!
Gas corporations have compared the Kimberley’s Canning Basin to the Eagle Ford Basin in the US. The Eagle Ford Basin had no oil and gas wells in 2008 - now, it is covered with 27,000 fracking wells.
Valhalla is the first fracking proposal to reach this stage of assessment with the WA EPA under this WA Labor Government, and it’s the biggest ever.
