Community Picnic

Join us for our community picnic at the North Coogee Dog Beach foreshore(End of Rollinson Road) on Saturday at 10am!

Come and enjoy some snacks, (re)connect with friends and learn about what the next steps for the Frack Free Kimberley campaign following recent surveying efforts and the meeting with local MP and Minister for Water, Simone McGurk this week!

Thanks to the dozens of people who have helped survey Fremantle in the past year, we have massively increased our visibility and the movement, and it's starting to get attention!

We'll give you an update on our plan for the coming months, with the WA state election in early March 2025, and Simone McGurk being a key MP in the Cook Government.

At the same time, there is urgency to get a ban, with Black Mountain's Valhalla fracking plan near the Fitzroy River moving through assessment and approvals processes.

We'll be sharing a brief update on the lay of the land regarding WA politics and the campaign and talking about some of the ways people can get involved over the next 4 months (with a break mid Dec-mid Jan!), but this will also be a chance to just spend some time with others in the community.

Some food and drink will be provided - please RSVP below if you’re coming so we have an idea of how many people to cater for.

You're also welcome to invite friends, there's a Facebook event here.

There are public toilets nearby. Dogs welcome!
