A FREE Frack Free Kimberley Concert in Broome, calling on WA Premier Roger Cook to ban oil and gas & fracking in the region.
The globally significant environment of the Kimberley is under threat. The intact landscapes will be turned into oil and gas fracking fields if big corporations have their way. At a time when the climate crisis is in the news constantly, opening up the Kimberley to oil and gas would be a disaster and the carbon pollution that would come from it would be massive.
We have a new Premier in WA, Roger Cook. He can stop fracking. We need to make a strong impression on him. We know he loves the Kimberley and he says he's keen on renewable energy; we need to let him know that we want him to protect the region from this highly polluting and damaging industry.
We need to tell Premier Cook he cannot leave a legacy of destruction across this magnificent region.
Join us for this free event organised by Environs Kimberley with Lock the Gate Alliance, where we celebrate the Kimberley with some of the best musicians in the country — John Butler, Emma Donovan, Kankawa Nagarra Knight, Puertside, Bojesse and Bradley Hall.
