Join this Broome community screening of our film ‘Fighting Giants’ on Monday 14 August, 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm in Hall 2 at Broome Lotteries House on Cable Beach Road East.
The Kimberley has some of the largest intact natural landscapes left in the world. This is also a culturally rich region, home to a living Aboriginal culture that is many tens of thousands of years old, where many Traditional Owners have a deep connection to Country.
But fracking companies are the closest they've ever been to turning our region into an industrial wasteland. So we teamed up with Kimberley Traditional Owners, climate scientists and economists from The Australia Institute to produce this new film.
‘Fighting Giants’ is a rallying call to defend so many things that West Australians value: the stunning, intact landscapes of the Kimberley, our fragile climate, and Aboriginal culture and land.
Join us for this FREE community event where we’ll screen this powerful short film, briefly hear from the Frack Free Kimberley team about ways you can get involved AND you’ll also have the opportunity then and there to write a short, impactful letter to a key state government politician, to express your concerns about fracking.
The event is completely free but spaces are limited due to the relatively small venue, so please reserve your seat below today.
This event is open to everyone, whether you’re new to the issue or have supported the campaign for a while. So bring a friend or get a group together for a night of inspiration, motivation and community grassroots change.
