- Saturday 18 February, from 10am in Bullsbrook, with various stops across the city ending at 3.45pm.
The Mid West's water is under threat from risky gas mining.
Unconventional gasfields spread over vast areas, and would damage our existing industries, harming prime agricultural land, tourism, wineries and horse studs, as well as National Parks. Gasfields would use huge amounts of water and put underground water at risk including the precious Yarragadee aquifer.
We don’t need this risky gas – we have more than enough conventional and offshore gas.
This State Election, join farmers and residents from across the Mid West, Chittering, Bullsbrook and the Swan Valley to DEMAND the protection of our water resources. It's time our Government stood up against risky gas projects.
On Saturday 18 February, people from across the Mid West take their message to the city, with various stops along the way to talk to city political candidates and residents.
Attach signs to your ute (top and sides, there will be a drone!), pack a picnic, gather your friends, snap some photos and use the hashtag: #GasfieldFreeWA
